dr. Nol Kabashi

FVA-Kosovo

Dr. Nol Kabashi is the Chief of Animal Welfare at the Kosovo Food and Veterinary Agency (KFVA), where he leads national programmes related to animal welfare, disease prevention and control, zoonoses, public health, and food safety. He graduated as a Doctor of Veterinary Medicine from the University of Belgrade and has completed specialized training in animal welfare through programmes at the University of Cambridge, University of Bristol, and the RSPCA.


Throughout his career he has worked closely with international organizations including WOAH (OIE) and EFSA, contributing to initiatives on stray dog population management and farm animal welfare. He has played a key role in the establishment and development of the Kosovo Food and Veterinary Agency and the Kosovo Veterinary Chamber, as well as in drafting veterinary, food safety, and animal welfare legislation. His work focuses on strengthening veterinary services, animal welfare systems, and national programmes for disease control and public health protection.
