Prof. Dr. Vlatko Ilieski is a university professor with extensive background in education and research in veterinary medicine. The scientific research work of Prof. Vlatko Ilieski is mainly focused on the field of functional morphology with a special emphasis on the protection and welfare of animals. As the EBVS® Specialist in Animal Welfare Science, Ethics and Law he has great experience in implementation of animal welfare standards.
His research work was conducted through collaboration in international projects, such as being a member of Consortiums in projects supported by the FP RTD, Horason Europe SEE-ERA-NETs COST, HERAS.
Prof Ilieski has been appointed as an individual expert to the EFSA, he has engagement as Senior Non-Key Expert on veterinary legislation and collaborations with the FVE, EAEVE and the RSPCA.
Prof. Ilieski was a Fulbright Scholar at Livestock Behaviour Research Unit of the USDA-ARS, Purdue University.
Present he is appointed as Vicechair of COST scientific committee
