Mufid Aruković

Dogs Trust Worldwide Foundation Bosnia

Mufid Aruković is a graduate criminologist and Professor of Security Studies with more than 15 years of experience in dog training and canine behaviour education.

For many years, he worked as an instructor at the Dogs Trust Dog School in Bosnia and Herzegovina, where he focused on teaching basic obedience skills, supporting healthy behaviour in the home environment, and promoting dog socialisation through positive interactions with family members, visitors, other people, and other dogs.

He also worked for three years with trained working dogs in Afghanistan, where he developed a strong foundation in structure, consistency, and communication—skills he later applied to working with family dogs.

Since 2026, he has been working as a Fostering Support Coordinator at the Dogs Trust Foundation Bosnia and Herzegovina, where he supports potential adopters and dogs in need, contributing to successful and sustainable rehoming of abandoned dogs. His work focuses on improving human–dog communication and helping families build stable, long-term relationships with their dogs.
